Hello there, Being a recent addition to the membership, I just thought you might like to see a few photos of my old lady.

I took delivery from SMT in Carlisle, early in '79 after waiting 7 months for delivery.

I used to do a lot of hand sign writing on new vans and trucks for them and was impressed with the new Cavalier saloons but I needed a vehicle to use for my business.

I was told that the Sportshatch was about to be brought onto the market but they had not even seen a picture of it, so I ordered on spec.

It started as a 1600, but during the wait I managed to save enough for the 2000 GLS.

It was worth every minute of the delay!!
