| The car was originally a demonstrator
for Watsons, the Vauxhall dealer for the East of Glasgow.
I have all the old MOT's and some service
history. It seems to have spent much of its life in Edinburgh and
surrounding areas. If the mileage is to be believed it has done just
over 80K.
I have owned the car for 18 months and
have just had a new hood fitted and the rear interior panels
reupholstered to match the newer interior. The original interior, period
gold velour, was gradually falling to bits so I now have the interior
from a 1984 GTE.

When the carpet was out, the floor
needed to be welded, not in the usual Manta places, but where the extra
sill bars had been welded on. The
front chassis rails are solid, but the front panel is getting a bit
crumbly at its lower edges.
The car is not a concourse example so may
well become a Manta Exclusive convertible over the winter. |
