This is my 1988 Manta GT,
she doesn't look bad on the photo but she has her bad points. Quite a
few in fact.
She has about 110,000 hard
miles on the clock, and although I have had her about 3 years now, only
10,000 of them are mine.
When I bought her the
DVLA had no records of her for the past few years (1999 to 2003 I
think). And now she is my daily drive doing approximately 50 miles a
day, mostly motorway and dual carriageway.

For her MOT in Dec 2005, she needed a fair bit of welding, which I had
to let the garage do as there was way too much for me, and I'm still
learning.
My stronger point is the engines,
and I have a 2.0 redtop waiting to be put in as soon as I can afford to
buy a RWD manifold. (and for those of you who might be agitated by the
thought of me ruining my 1800, I will keep all the parts in case I
decide to go original again in the future).
Apart from the engine, she still wants bits doing on her bodywork;
sunroof (putting new one in), arches (not too bad though, repairable),
well, you
know!.... The usual!!
I work for an aircraft parts company making parts-EXCITING (NOT)!
Enough waffling for now methinks! Greg
