Hello from the USA,

Here's a picture of my 1975 Opel Manta that I took earlier this year at an OMC (Opel Motorsport Club) gathering in San Diego, California... the gentleman standing next to it is none other than Chuck Jordan, designer of these wonderful cars.

He lives in So Cal and has made it to a few of our gatherings. A really nice guy, he told me how he thought black is a great color for these babies, "it just screams hot rod!" When he touched my car it sent goose bumps down my arms- it's like it was touched by the hand of God.

My Manta is fairly stock except for color and a heavy duty front sway bar. 1975 was the last year they imported Opels to the U.S. It's a 4 speed with factory Bosch Injection. I purchased it in 1985 and have owned and pampered it since. It's quite the head turner around town but I'm limiting it's outings so that it doesn't get too thrashed.
