I bought this car (No. 4th Manta) from a Barry in London as a run-around, but after 4 minutes after driving away my brother who had taken me there, and filled his car with spares, slipped on the brakes and dented the rear. What could I say, I think he was more upset than I was. Nothing was even broken, even spare window glass in the boot. Luckily I saw the funny side and the car has ended up being another project which is probably just as well as the sills were in a worse way than I thought and it gives me time to sort out the rear arches and the sunroof.

The car is fitted with a Carlton 2.2 FI, gas flowed head, ported etc, but I will need to get it on a rolling road to really check it out. Boy does this car shift though. Also thinking of upgrading to Twin Dellortos which I have had sitting in my garage waiting to be fitted to such a car.

The project now requires:

Boot repair
Replacement sills and rear arches.
Webasto Tilt and Slide sunroof to be fitted.
Volvo four pots to be fitted to the front with hopefully a rear disc conversion to match
Probably twin Dellortos with Weber Manifolds to be fitted.
Change rear box for a twin tailpipe and maybe less noise
Still thinking about a bodykit
Paint those airhorns black

Hopefully this will all be done by Billing 2005 and I'll see you all there in it.
