More club cars?

I have had this car
for just over 4 years, rescuing it from the back of a car sales
showroom where it had been stood for 7 years, used as a skip for
old batteries, tyres etch.
The wife bought me it as a Christmas present which I knew I
would get more fun out of instead of a jumper. She is not a
jealous person however, you could always see her adding another
job to my list of things to do when ever I got stuck into it.
The car has had both rear arches,
sills, quarter panels, wings replaced, boot floor, door skin
repairs done by me. The interior was swapped from a GT/E model
along with alloys from a Berlinetta. |

2 cars (well past
restoration) have been used as donor vehicles and what ever else
was left I have sold off to other Manta owners, meeting new
friends on the way.
The final straw was
after a top end rebuild the bottom end went, I'd just given what
was left of the donor engine to the scrap man..... luckily Gary
a fellow Manta Owners Club Member sorted me out with another
donor and she's up and running sweetly.
I haven't done any track days and ain't been a member of any
owners club since I sold my old MGBGT over 10 years back, and if
the club is half as good, I know I will get some enjoyment from
it.

Would I sell it??
well at 4 years it's the longest I have ever kept a car, it is
part of the family now.
However today I have just purchased an Exclusive; so if I got
interest and I knew it would be looked after, then yes, it is a
possibility.
I have photos right throughout the rebuild up to the way she is
today.
I aim to be attending this years meet at Billing so you to see
you all there. |
Would you like to see more club
cars?
