OOOOOO - 1973 Manta A Modified

More club cars

Owner: Jyrki S, Finland

This was originally a 1971 SR model which had the 1,6S engine and four speed GM gearbox, unusually it had a 45% limited slip differential.

I bought it during spring 1995,  three months later I decided to make something that I'd always wanted Manta to be.. with two more pistons and make it sound a little more mysterious ;-).

The engine came from a Monza 30 GS/E and the transmission from a Rekord 2,2 CD -86 (Getrag 240).

The Engine also got a Crane 280/109/12mm hydraulic cam and new springs from enem. The valves were lightly modified and the fuel injection is Bosch L-jetronic.

The Interior is pretty original even now, but the front seats are from -77 Manta GT/E.

The wheels are (for now) classic ATS 13", the brakes are 246mm ventilated discs and the original 230mm rear drums.

Springs are front, lexmaul -40mm (manta B 6-cyl) and front shocks 'avon 26 points adustable'.

Rear original springs and shocks (koni used only if needed :-) )

Future modifications will include more power, bigger brakes, 15"-? wheels, this depends...the present ATS are, in my opinion, so pretty that..:-)

If the power target reaches my estimation it will be necessary to make these changes, new paintwork, probably Hestec or DTA engine management, and new restoration of whole body etc. (when time and family gives opportunity, but hopefully during winter/s 2002-2004)
