I have a 1971 Opel Manta A
which I tracked down to a farmer in a small town back in 1994.
Paid him RM2000 (or US$550)
and had it towed home for restoration.
It was rusty gray and the
engine was about to call it quits anytime.
The car would not be back on
the roads until one and a half years later. It's been with me ever since
and I use it only during the weekends when it takes me and my mountain
bike to the trailheads.
From the pictures attached,
you'll see that I have modified the rear lights to have them sit flush
with the surface, a bit like some of those Ferraris.
I also took off the rear bumper. Thought the car looked a lot better
without it. You will also see pictures of the same car in the workshop
undergoing restoration
