I would like to add this picture I am sending (hopefully) to your gallery.

I was a member of the club until a few years ago and always found it very informative. I liked reading the club magazine but always felt as though the 'B' was the overlooked or boyed-up underdog. 

So, if you receive the picture I would like to say she is totally standard 1979 2.0L, SR Berlinetta auto in Jade Green metallic. 

My wife and I have owned her for nine years, we found her at the back of a backstreet car sales in Maidstone, Kent.  The camshaft was worn out and the previous owner had decided to p/x her for some forgetable 1980's rep-mobile.  When we got her home and stripped the head out, I found out it was cracked between 2 and 3 exhaust ports.  It took us six months to find a decent head (from a 1985 Carlton).  I stripped the head, completely polished the ports but kept it standard.

At the moment, she is taking a well deserved rest away from my four children.  I am also aware that one day some yobbo may decide to stop using my Manta for brakes.
